Still Life
Working in the tradition of still life, I am considering the concepts around the idea of home. The home is where we work, play, nurture and be nurtured. All the objects are mindfully collected and arranged as a meditation that allows for margin to process everyday activities. Painting the arrangements becomes a reflection of, and a symbol for the sacraments and rituals of relationships being nurtured within this space.

Works on Panel
These works are the result of a daily paint practice that I did over the course of three years. All work is done on 6 x 6” panel in oil paint. Working small allowed me to improve observation and paint application technical skills quickly. I went on to teach many workshops and classes using this approach.
